This wouldn't be my 1st place to shop, but it has unique qualities. It is a cool feature to scan when you get in and then just leave the store with your cart, but the time I went that was down so I had to be checked out by a cashier. They now have this option where you can check out using biometrics by scanning your palm. That is a bit much for me. I would only shop here if there was something I wanted that was on sale. They don't carry everything normal grocery stores would but they do have most of what you need. My go-to here is getting their Poke bowl at less than $11 it's cheaper than some Poke restaurants. Their hot bar is currently at $8.99 which can get pricey, but if you don't want to cook it's a great option. Lots of variety of food to choose from.
Sometimes if you are returning an Amazon purchase and decide to return to an Amazon Fresh store they will give you a coupon for doing so. I was able to get $10 of the $40 purchase for returning something there. Also, check your Amazon or the app because sometimes they have coupons for shopping a certain week or month. I think this style of shopping could be great for introverts who don't like to interact with people or just people who want to shop by getting in and out faster. There’s plenty of parking & curbside pick-up. This used to be where the hardware store OSH used to be.
Ok I was impressed with the Pasadena Amazon fresh store. It was a large store, clean and had many employees working there. The produce looked good, fresh and priced competitively. There was a butcher case, and food court where they had a salad bar and other items like pasta and samosas. There were slices of pizza for sale at $1.99 each. Pastries and coffee machine. I got 2 slices of pizza and the cheese ricotta pizza was really delicious. The vegetable pizza was also tasty. I got a cappuccino and it was okay for $1.99. I enjoyed shopping at this store and the deal of the week is 20 % off for prime members.
First time for me!
Walk in and scan your Amazon code when you enter. If you don’t have an app and want to experience the store. They welcome you too! There is a separate push door without scanning an app!
Walk around and put it whatever you want in your cart. You’d get charged as you put it in your cart. There’s cameras everywhere so that’s how they know which items you grab. When you take it out, they’ll know too! Of course, check your receipt later!
Scan on your way out. The receipt does not get to you till hours later. Not sure how it would work if there was an error though. If you are a shopper that doesn’t have an Amazon account, just go straight to the cashier! They’d be able to help you check out.
Prices: they do have deals! And a lot of the produce are very standard pricing. Some things are more expensive though.
Food: they have warm and cold food available! I would have to go back and try it. They do have raw fish.
Very convenient for pick up and return Amazon stuff. The market is nice and clean, carrying lots of variety of produce, cooked foods, wines, and the most amazing part is the shopping cart has its own scanner for customers to check the price and vegetable weight.
It’s different but I kinda like it. I walked in not knowing what to expect. I love the entrance which gives you 2 options. 1. The new/future way of shopping. 2. Traditional shopping. If you take the blue pill (option 2. Traditional) nothing really changes. But you take the red pill (new/ future) shopping experience you actually register your phone or hand 🖐️ to your Amazon account what this does is it allows you to enter the store and exit without ever dealing with a self check out or a person check out. You will notice a bunch of cameras inside the market. This is what determines what you buy. Important 🚨only grab what you plan on buying. As soon as you grab something the camera will charge your account. So if you change your mind on an item please put it back. I highly recommend you talk to an employee. They were actually super nice. My favorite thing was the sushi 🍣 🔥
Support people, not billionaires. It’s okay inside. But nothing special - no reason to go here than anywhere else. The only reason I’ve shopped here is to support the fact that they host ChargePoint stations in their lot. No more — they have decided to block off access to the charging stations today because they made the choice to use the same location for their storage. Idle forklift blocking chargers. (Area circled in yellow in attached photo.). I’ll be happy to support ChargePoint and not Amazon on future visits.
Since opening, I've been coming here for all my family's grocery needs. They offer quality groceries at reasonable price. In addition, their employees usually are pleasant and helpful. …
My first experience shopping there. Lots of great sales. special savings if you're a prime member. Lots of extra great savings through the add and an extra coupon. Easy check out, no lines And if you need assistance to explain everything …
Very nice and clean store but beware of a middle aged African American lady who is the cashier. She did not apply my physical gift card balance and instead kept the gift card herself. I advise double checking your receipt. …
The idea of checking out your items in the cart is good, you can bag your groceries easier and no need to wait in the line. But the tablets on the shipping cart keep frozen and the scanner doesn't work every time. So we end up using self checkout.
